LETTERS: Andersen endorses Porter for Caz Village Board

To the editor:

I am very happy that Dave Porter is running for re-election to the Cazenovia Village Board of Trustees, where he has served since 2010.

Dave’s engineering and environmental design experience are of critical importance as the village works to update its aging infrastructure. His expertise has certainly been helpful as the village has replaced the Clark Street bridge, begun the restoration of Carpenter’s Barn, and secured a grant to deal with ongoing storm water management issues.

I served with Dave on the library board of trustees, where he chaired the buildings and grounds committee and led us as we worked to alleviate a number of moisture problems in the 1990s building addition. Dave is hard-working, reliable, and thoughtful – definitely someone who is good to have on your team.

He has served our community in a number of ways – on the library board and as an active member of the Lions Club and an advocate for youth sports. Another one of his responsibilities as trustee is overseeing the Caz Joint Youth Recreation program, which provides summer recreation opportunities for kids throughout the school district.

As a village resident, I strongly urge you to vote for Dave Porter on June 19.

Kristi Andersen
