— CRIS has accomplished much in the past year. It has successfully collaborated with community entities such as CASA, RSVP, GCACC, CazCares, Cazenovia College, Cazenovia Library, Madison County Office of Aging, area churches and area professionals. It received a grant from the Community Foundation to create a resource directory which can be accessed online.

A diversified board of directors has expanded and well supports the mission of CRIS. A “walkability” survey of the village was conducted by Cazenovia College intern, Suzanne Snyder, which will help promote a walkability program for the village. Another successful Purse Auction fundraiser was held on May 9 and 10. Stay tuned for the “Lend A Hand Week” to be held this fall.

Those interested in becoming volunteers can contact Steve Burrell at 655-0612. Residents needing a ride, please call 655-0612 three to five days in advance. For information about CRIS, visit callcris.org or call the CRIS office at 655-5743.
