The finished project, a willow hut sculpture created and installed by Cazenovia High School sculpture students.

— Patrick Cunningham, a Cazenovia Children’s House alumnus and Cazenovia High School student in Bill Paben’s sculpture class, recently prepared the site at the CCH Windy Willow Playscape for the “Willow Hut Sculpture Project.”

Students in the sculpture classes harvested, planted and sculpted the hut for the children to enjoy live dramatic play. The willow hut is the second feature recently added to the new playscape.

With monetary and in-kind gifts and services support from the community and area businesses, the playscape will continue to grow over the summer with the installation of a “trike track,” new fencing, gardens and a large sandpit with a water feature.
