Baldwinsville Silver Fox Senior Social Club celebrated five years of serving seniors on July 12 with live music by Dan Elliot as well as delicious food and raffles at the Baldwinsville facility.
In a time when many small businesses are struggling, Silver Fox continues to grow. The facility has also attained numerous achievements since opening in 2007 including recently receiving the Onondaga County Intergenerational Award from the Department of Aging & Youth.
“Over our first five years, we’ve helped hundreds of seniors maintain their independence and provide an enriching, active environment,” said Danielle Durking, the facility’s marketing representative, adding that the staff is proud of the milestone and looking forward to the future.
The occasion was celebrated by special guests including families of the current and past members, representatives from the Veterans Administration, Department of Aging, Alzheimer’s Association, American Diabetes, Gifford Foundation, NYS Regional Transportation Authority (Centro), local officials and senior living communities.
Silver Fox is located at 22 E. Genesee St. in the village of Baldwinsville. For more information about the not for profit 501senior day program, which provides care for seniors in Onondaga County, visit silverfoxseniors.org.
