— John Hudson and grandson Scott Hudson, both of Baldwinsville, pose after finishing their seventh Great Race. This year’s nine-day race started in Traverse City, MI taking them into Canada, around the Great Lakes, down to Watertown and Buffalo then ending up in Dearborn, MI. The duo had their best finish yet ending up in fourth place in their class and eighth overall with 83 cars participating. The Great Race is a time precision rally style race in antique cars. The object is to not finish first but to finish at the exact second that has been plotted out. In the nine days of racing, the Hudson team was only off one minute and 21.6 seconds. Both are now anxious for next year’s race, although The Great Race has not yet announced the route. You can get more details on the race by going to greatrace.com.
