B’ville woman selected for M3 1000

— Kelli LaPage, owner of Baldwinsville-based WellTrail, Inc., which provides onsite consulting for employees with health or injury issues, will compete with hundreds of aspiring women entrepreneurs nationwide for resources to grow her business at the upcoming M3 1000 event, which will take place on Tuesday, July 31, at Barnard College in New York City.

Established from the successful Make Mine a Million $ Business program, an initiative of Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence and American Express OPEN, M3 1000 will also act as a homecoming to celebrate the successes of past awardees who now own million-dollar companies. The program is designed to help women entrepreneurs strengthen their vision, build their strategy and take their businesses to one million dollars in revenue.

Representing the greater Syracuse area, Kelli will provide a two-minute elevator pitch about her business before a panel of judges. The judges, ranging from past awardees to small business experts, will select which of the participants will be named as pitch winners before moving on to the final round, where additional prizes will be offered. Pitch winners will submit full applications and company financial information for final consideration as M3 1000 awardees.
