State Senate awards F-M $65K to replace elevators

— The Fayetteville-Manlius School District is slated to receive $65,000 from the New York State Senate to replace four elevators to ensure accessibility for students with disabilities.

Senators John DeFrancisco and David Valesky allocated the money based upon a letter from the school district that outlined the need to replace the existing elevators.

Following the state’s recent redistricting of the Senate boundaries, Sen. DeFrancisco, of the 50th District, will represent the Fayetteville-Manlius School District as of Jan. 1. Sen. Valesky, currently of the 49th District, will represent the school district until then.
