53rd Annual Antique Show returns in July

— It’s time to mark your calendars for a popular summer event in July. The 53rd Annual Skaneateles Antique Show and Sale, hosted by the Skaneateles United Methodist Church, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14.

The show will be held at Austin Park Pavilion, 1 East Austin St., in Skaneateles, just three blocks north of Route 20 on the corner of Jordan Road and Austin Street. Admission is $6.50 for a one-day pass or $7 for a two-day pass. The show is handicap accessible, and there is ample free parking available.

This popular event began 53 years ago with only 17 antique dealers. It was held within the Skaneateles United Methodist Church. Over the years, it has grown to include more than 70 antique dealers and is now held at the Austin Park Pavilion.

The show has also come to include high quality artisan and craft exhibitors outside on the grass lawn. More than 50 artisan and craft exhibitors are expected this year. There is no cost to stroll through the artisan and craft area outside.

The show continues to draw visitors from near and far because of the quality and number of dealers. Visitors can expect more than 70 antique dealers selling furniture, rugs, American decorative paintings, china, collectibles, vintage clothing, estate jewelry, quilts, lighting, old tools and much, much more.

The offerings from the artisan and craft exhibitors are highly varied as well. Stoneware pottery, finely detailed handbags, hats, quilts, kitchen accessories, candles, a wide assortment of jewelry and artwork, doll clothes, floral arrangements, garden sculptures and more will be available.
