Northstars win girls indoor track league title

Osborne, Liverpool's Akinpelu both win two events

— In the 4x200 relay, Akinpelu joined Connie Torres, Jazmine Herbert and Yasmeen Griffin as Liverpool won that race in 1:51.91, leaving C-NS (1:59.45) back in third place. Herbert, on her own, earned second in the 55-meter dash in 7.74 seconds, while Nicole Barrett was fifth.

Kyla Bills earned Liverpool’s other victory, running 1,000 meters in 3:15.15 to beat Laris (3:17.41) and Madison Kolakowski (3:21.56) from the Northstars. Bills also got to fourth (5:23.55) in the 1,500, as Emily Butler was sixth.

Tammy Brodie had a busy night, taking second in the 55 hurdles in 9.67 seconds, and also was third in the long jump (15 feet 11 ¼ inches) and fourth (4 feet 4 inches) in the high jump.

Barrett cleared 8 feet and took second in the pole vault. Nelliah Watkins went to third (27 feet 9 ¾ inches) in the shot put. Rowell added a fourth (31 feet 7 ¾ inches) in the triple jump, also helping Torres, Jessica Attaway and Leah Dixon finish second in the 4x400 relay in 4:23.88, where C-NS (4:26.42) was third.
