Cazenovia Throughout recent weeks, students and faculty from Cazenovia High School have come together in support of local resident Diane Tedesco, as she battles Leukemia.
“The Cazenovia Odyssey,” a literary club at the high school, sponsored a fundraiser in which T-shirts were sold after school to those who wished to support the cause.
The fundraiser proved to be a success, with 200 shirts sold at the price of $10 per shirt.
Tedesco, who spearheaded the “Bags of Hope” campaign earlier this summer, was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia in April 2010.
A myriad of friends, students and teachers showed their enthusiasm by exceeding the proceeds that the club originally believed it would garner, while raising further awareness for Tedesco’s condition.
The sale of T-shirts only furthered the movement to help the Tedesco family and others in need since the school year began, and will surely continue to inspire more in Cazenovia to contribute to the cause.
