Baldwinsville The Big Chill returns next weekend for its fifth year. The two-day event will kick off on Friday, Jan. 20, at the Red Mill Inn with wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres and something new then continue into Saturday with family fun activities such as a snowman making contest, the Best in Bowl cook-off and the signature Polar Bear Plunge in which teams and individuals will raise money while taking a frosty dip into the Seneca River at Mercer Park in the village. The Poker Bear Express, a poker run/pub crawl, keeps the fun rolling into Saturday evening. The Big Chill has seen more than 1,000 participants annually since its inception four years ago and has raised $70,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY and the Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce.
