Best Bets: Syracuse Orange on a roll

— Not only are the spicy Tex-Mex vittles super-satisfying, the roots tunes by Los Blancos will have you kicking up your heels as you cure that hangover.

The Blancos boys — bassist Steve Winston, guitarist Colin Aberdeen, accordionist Mark Nanni and drummer Mark Tiffault — play for brunch audiences from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sundays, Jan. 8, 15 and 22.

The roots rock will waft through the club as you munch on a roasted po’ boy with scrambled eggs, cheddar-jack cheese and chipotle mayo, or enjoy a Mexican breakfast pizza or a burrito del sol with red beans and rice

Stage: ‘Bedroom Farce’

Mirth springs from mattresses when “Bedroom Farce” debuts this weekend at The Fire & Ice Banquet Facilities at The Locker Room, 528 Hiawatha Blvd. E.

Produced by Dustin Czarny for Not Another Theater Co., Patrcia Catchouny directs Alan Ayckbourne’s “Bedroom Farce” at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 6 and 7, at 2 p.m. Sunday Jan. 8, and 8 p.m. Jan. 13 and 14 at the Fire & Ice Banquet Facilities at The Locker Room, on the North Side.

The plot sounds like a sexy but silly soap opera: Trevor’s and Susannah’s marriage is on the rocks so they inflict their miseries on their nearest and dearest three couples whose own relationships are shaky at best. The action takes place in the three beleaguered couples’ bedrooms during one endless Saturday night of co-dependence and dysfunction. As the play unfolds, beds, tempers and domestic order are ruffled, leading all eight characters to a hilariously touching epiphany.

Couples can dine and catch the show for $58; dinner and show for singles costs $30; and tables of eight cost $209. For show only, you pay $20. For tickets, call 446-1461.
