Singing Boys of Pennsylvania to perform in Caz

The acclaimed vocal group The Singing Boys of Pennsylvania will take the stage at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3, in the Catherine Cummings Theatre.

The acclaimed vocal group The Singing Boys of Pennsylvania will take the stage at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3, in the Catherine Cummings Theatre.

— The Singing Boys of Pennsylvania will perform at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3, in the Catherine Cummings Theatre, located at 16 Lincklaen St., in Cazenovia.

The choir’s programming includes a demanding repertoire spanning chant to contemporary works, frequently including sacred and secular music and a rich assortment of American and international folk music presented with costumes and choreography.

Admission is $10 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under; and $3 for Cazenovia College students. Tickets are available at Cazenovia Jewelry, on Albany Street and at the door before the event.

The choir has won acclaim throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Japan. The company consists of young artists, ages 10 to 14, selected from the ranks of its training choirs who have been rigorously trained in vocal techniques, ear training and music reading (following the Kodaly concept), part singing and choreography.
