— To honor the Boys Scouts of America's 102nd anniversary, Fremont Cub Scouts Pack 244 held a Blue and Gold Banquet where 12 boys crossed over from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. The boys and their families have traveled a long journey together. They have had fun, learned a lot and achieved a great deal.

Nine boys have attained the Arrow of Light, the highest award earned in Cub Scouts. They are: Marcus Evans, Andrew Wilson, Tyren McRae, Wayne O’Neill, Nathan Barnes, Wolfgang Groetz, Joshua Dashnaw, Xander Harrison and David Cooper.

Six boys have attained a Heavy Shoulder; they completed all 20 activity badges available for Webelos.

Mark Dashnaw, Webelos 2 Den Leader, and Jerome O’Neill, Webelos 2 Assistant Den Leader, have worked with the group of boys for two years.
