Northstars, Warriors both get wins at Select Meet

Hyde, Broughton among C-NS stars; Liverpool girls take 4x200

Rowell (31 feet 8 ½ inches) was seventh in the triple jump, as Brodie got seventh in the high jump (5 feet) and 12th in the long jump. Claire McCarthy was 12th in the shot put, one spot ahead of the Northstars’ Jessica Wheeler. C-NS’s Shannon McCarthy earned ninth in the high jump.

Jade Jenkins gave the Northstars a second-place long jump of 15 feet 4 ¼ inches. Justine Seliger got to third in the 55 hurdles in 9.77 seconds, while Taylor Parry was fifth in the 1,000 (3:11.23).

Hannah Szumioz was fourth in the triple jump, going 32 feet 7 ¾ inches, while C-NS landed in fifth in the 4x800 (10:26.17), well ahead of Liverpool in 11th place.

Maria LaMontagne ran 3,000 meters in 11:15.20, taking seventh place. Marissa Colburn was eighth in the 1,500-meter run in 5:24.30, with the Warriors’ Morgan Mahoney (5:26.24) in ninth.
