B’ville students advance to state art competition

— Twelve students from the Baldwinsville Central School District have advanced to the state portion of the 2011-12 National PTA Reflections program.

The program highlights the importance of arts in education. This year students created works in literature, dance choreography, musical composition, photography, visual arts and film production, based on the theme, “Diversity Means…”

Baldwinsville students won first place in 12 categories at the regional level of the competition. The Central Region includes school districts in the counties of Cayuga, Jefferson, Madison, Onondaga and Oswego.
