Cazenovia Get a brand new iPad during the holidays? Have no idea how to use that new Nook or Kindle? Have pictures stuck on a digital camera?
Stop by the Cazenovia Public Library for a class or one-on-one tutoring and learn how to use advanced technology.
The classes begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 7 with an “eReader Class.” Those interested are encouraged to bring in their Nook, Kindle, tablet or other device and learn how to borrow free eBooks from the library.
Two classes will be held on Monday, Jan. 14. The first, at 10 a.m., will feature iPads and the second, at 1 p.m., will be a “Digital Photo Workshop.” The iPad class will cover the basics of using an iPad — gestures on the touch screen, basic features and popular apps.
The digital photo workshop will help participants get photos off their digital camera and onto the computer where they can send them in emails, upload to Facebook or order prints online. All are encouraged to bring their cameras and necessary cords, plus a laptop if possible.
The final class in the series will cover iPhones, and will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21. This brand new class will introduce attendees to their new iPhone — how to turn it on, navigate settings, make a phone call and use apps.
Can’t make a class? Need extra help? Got a new device not covered?
Spend 30 minutes with a technology trainer in a one-on-one appointment.
Those interested are asked to just let the library know what they’d like help with when signing up.
