— Mystery Readers’ Club

At 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, the mystery readers kick off the new year with a discussion of “One Was a Soldier,” by Julia Spencer-Fleming. New members welcome.

Card making

Join Missy Shipman for a new round of card crafting for the new year at 7 p.m. Jan. 10. This program requires registration and there is a $15 materials fee payable at the class.

Snowtime crafts

Two to five year olds with an accompanying adult are invited to sign up for a Snow Time storytime and crafts session to help cheer winter-weary kids at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11. Registration is required.

Tai Chi Chih with Ann

Start the new year with renewed vigor by joining Tai Chi instructor Ann Pia at 10 a.m. Saturdays, Jan. 12, 19 and 26, for instruction in this gentle physical and mental exercise. There is no charge for these classes but registration is required. Participants should wear loose clothing and be prepared to move.

Pokémon Black and White

Informal tournament for sixth graders and up from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 13. Registration is required.

Winter-Spring story time sign-ups

Beginning Monday, Jan. 14, you may register your child for Winter-Spring Story Time – a program of stories, fingerplays, songs and crafts. Story Time sessions meet once a week running for 10 weeks from Jan. 28 to April 8. PLEASE NOTE: Advance registration is required. There will be no phone registration on the first day; anyone who wants to register a child must come to the library. After the first day, you may register by calling 635-5631. Inquire at the children’s desk for more information.

Second Mondays Club

Another year of food and fun for kids in third through sixth grades kicks off at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14; free pizza, fun, games and activities.
