We’re sew happy to welcome another year of happy crafting by the Pulling Threads crew. This month’s sessions are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 2 and 16, and new participants are always welcome.
Read me a tail
From 1 to 3 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 5 and 19, reluctant readers can practice their decoding skills by reading to a dog in our storytime room. Appointments are for 15 minutes and you can sign up at the Children’s Desk. If no one is signed up for a time slot appointments will be available on a first come first served basis.
Open Writers’ Group
Local writers continue to support each other and share their progress in the New Year on alternate Tuesdays. This month’s sessions will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 8 and 22.
Learn how to make the most of technology with the help of our hands on courses. Seating is limited to 10 per class and registration is required. Sign up on our online calendar or call the library to register. This month’s classes, held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays, are as follows: Jan. 9 Get To Know Your Tablet; Jan. 16 ereaders and eBooks; Jan. 23 email Basics; and Jan. 30 Finding Answers on the Web.
Our genealogy classes have gotten so popular we are offering two classes this month. First up is Your Family Tree: New Year Resolutions at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9 for current followers. The following week at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 16, Louise will offer a special session for beginners.
