Cazenovia High School Principal Eric Schnabl, left, stands with students Sally Langan and Rebecca Pfohl after Cazenovia Lions Club member Steve Burrell presented them with Student of the Month plaques.
continued “Rebecca is very active in our school music program and also in her church community. She plays violin in the orchestra and string ensemble (she is principal violinist in those groups) and also sings in women’s choir and chamber choir. Becca has participated in the spring musical, both in the pit and also on stage. Becca is a strong contributor with her talents but that is not why I am nominating her. She is a kind and caring person who never hesitates to volunteer assistance whether or not it is requested,” Campbell wrote. “She does not seek acknowledgement for her good deeds. She simply wants to be a support to others. She is always positive, proactive and respectful of others. Becca has twice visited Haiti on mission trips and even talks of living there someday. She spends weekends volunteering with her youth group from church. Although she is supremely talented in music and could receive many accolades for her performances, Becca’s first priority in life is to help others.”
The Cazenovia Lions Club announced it is pleased to honor Pfohl for her service to the school and community.
Student of the Month nominations can be made by students, school staff members, parents or community members. Nomination forms are available from the Assistant Principal’s Office at Cazenovia High School or from the Cazenovia Lions Club.
