Fayetteville-Manlius residents to vote on $10.5 million capital project

Project would address infrastructure issues with no new tax dollars

— “It’s working now, but staff members are concerned that if it shuts down, they may not be able to restart it because it’s so old,” said Craig Lamoreaux, the district’s architect.

He said there is also a concern about being able to get replacement parts for the system because of its age.

If residents approve the project in March, design work would take place through July 2013 and plans would then be sent to the state Department of Education for approval. The district hopes to begin construction on the individual projects in June 2014 with a completion date of September 2015.
