Christmas trees lit across eastern suburbs
Residents got into the holiday spirit at recent tree lighting events.
Local towns and villages jump-started the holiday season with Christmas tree lighting events, starting with Fayetteville's lighting on Black Friday, Nov. 23.
Manlius lit the tree by the Swan Pond on Nov. 2, and most recently, on Dec. 7, DeWitt lit the trees at town hall which can be seen from Interstate 481.
All three events culminated in Santa arriving by firetruck.
