Baldwinsville The Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce is preparing for this year’s Big Chill event and has invited the public to two kick-off parties.
Whether a first-timer or veteran polar bear, if you are thinking about taking the plunge then you should join the chamber during one or both kick-off parties where you will meet fellow plungers, learn how to sign up online, learn tips to recruit team members, collect pledge forms and more.
The first event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Aspen House in Radisson, 8550 North Entry Road, Baldwinsville.
The second event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Canal Walk Café, 23 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville.
Snacks and beverages will be offered at both events, so please RSVP to the chamber office at firstname.lastname@example.org (by Dec. 18 for Dec. 19 event).
The Big Chill is a two-day event held in Baldwinsville featuring a wine-tasting and casino night Friday, Jan. 25, and a family day with snowman-making contests, Best in Bowl cook off, the Polar Bear Plunge and more on Saturday, Jan. 26. Proceeds from the event benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of CNY, The Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY and the Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce. More than 1,000 people have participated in this event raising more than $100,000 since its inception five years ago.
