Operation Backpack launched in Camillus

— The founders underwrite every fundraising event themselves and now operate with donated office space and supplies. This is so every penny given for the kids is made totally available for the needs of the children. They have expanded their efforts through the Operation Backpack Children’s Foundation by making child abuse prevention materials available and by formally recognizing social services personnel who are instrumental in assisting abused children.

The backpack team here in Central New York is eager to share these treasures with local children placed in foster care and will send the remainder to the expanding efforts of their Pittsburgh inspiration.
