To the editor:
Willie Kiernan’s interesting column, “Home is where you find it,” in the Nov. 28 issue of the Cazenovia Republican triggered me to send the poem below as sort of a follow-up.
I wrote it about 20 years ago.
Home
You can’t go home again
no matter what you do.
Home will have changed
and so also will you.
You should go home again,
no matter what you do.
Home is the place
where love is fierce and true.
You will go home again,
no matter what you do.
The deep abyss of eternity
unfailingly awaits for you.
