Tech Help moves to Friday

Our Tech experts will be hanging out from 10 a.m. to noon in the Story Time room ready to help you untangle the knots and glitches in your personal technology toys.

Fall flower show

The members of the Men’s Garden Club of Syracuse are back to kick off a new season with their Fall Flower Show held from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9.

Second Mondays Club

Mrs. Needham looks forward to meeting a new crop of kids at our Second Mondays Club for third through sixth graders at 6 p.m. Sept. 10. Meet monthly for games, activities, pizza and fun with your friends.

Boy Scout sign up

Wondering where to sign up for the boy scouts. Worry no longer. Local troops will be signing up new members from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 11 in the library’s community room.

Finding your family’s better half

Genealogists will tell you it’s a lot harder to track down your female ancestors, but it isn’t impossible. Local expert Louise Creighton will help you jump the hurdles of shifting names and limited documentation with a hands-on, online workshop from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Mystery ReadersThe mystery posse slips into bestseller territory as they tackle “The Lincoln Lawyer,” by Michael Connelly at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13. New members are always welcome.

Get carded

Sometimes it’s fun to get carded. Especially when the card is lovingly handcrafted at one of Missy Shipman’s classes. Sign up and join the fun from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13. There is a $15 materials cost for the class and registration is required.

Take your pick for a crafty weekend

Sandee the basket queen returns with a wrapped handle basket project at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. Registration is required and there is $20 materials fee for this project but the skills you gain are priceless. Later the same day at 1 p.m., you can join Wendy Ballard for an earring crafting project. Materials are $15 and registration is needed.
