Baldwinsville The Lysander Town Board recently cut costs by changing the status of a town position.
The secretary to the town supervisor put in a letter of resignation as she was moving out of the area. Officials took the opportunity to review the position’s duties and the time it takes to perform those duties and decided to reduce the position from a 32-hour per week position to a 20 to 25 hour per week position. The reduction in hours will also mean savings on benefits as the position is now considered part-time.
Public hearing rescheduled
A public hearing to consider amending Chapter 101 of the Lysander Town Code titled public access to records that was originally scheduled for Monday, Aug. 13, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at the Lysander Town Hall.
