— Eagle Scout Candidate Jack Martin, center, and Boy Scout Troop 119 planted a butterfly garden around the gazebo at McHarrie Towne on Sunday, Aug. 6. Many hands made light work of Martin’s Eagle Scout project despite the heat, humidity and a strong wind. With Jack are (from left) Connor Martin (life scout), Truman Strodel (a good friend), Eric Johnson (life scout), Stephen Keegan (life scout), Jacob Bano (first class), David Tack (life scout), Andrew Bano (life scout) and Denis Keegan (life scout). Jack is the son of Patrick and Rebecca Martin. His paternal grandmother is Marilyn Martin, and his maternal grandparents are Rita and Larry Daly.
