Cupcake Wars winner Doron Petersan to speak in DeWitt

— Doron Petersan, author of “Sticky Fingers’ Sweets: 100 Super-Secret Vegan Recipes,” will be at Barnes & Noble in DeWitt on Friday, Aug. 17. Petersan will discuss and sign copies of her book from 6 to 8 p.m.

Petersan is the owner of Sticky Fingers Sweets & Eats, the acclaimed Washington, D.C.-based vegan bakery and café, and a two-time winner of the Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars All-Stars.”

She opened Sticky Fingers in 2002, determined to create delicious, animal-free treats for vegans and non-vegans alike to enjoy. Since then, Sticky Fingers has gained an international fan base and received numerous accolades, including being named D.C.’s “Best Vegan Restaurant” by Washington City Paper for several years in a row.

In “Sticky Fingers’ Sweets: 100 Super-Secret Vegan Recipes,” Petersan shares her scrumptious recipes in a new cookbook that has vegans and omnivores alike clamoring for more.

Barnes & Noble is located at 3454 Erie Boulevard East, DeWitt. All events are free and open to the public.
