— The Friends of Lorenzo and the Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce will present a free night of entertainment on the front lawn of Lorenzo on Thursday, Aug. 16.

All are invited to grab some lawn chairs and blankets, and plan to spend a nostalgic summer evening at the home of Cazenovia’s founder enjoying “Moonlight Medley: Music & Movie at Lorenzo.”

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the music of the JT Hall Consort will set the mood for the 8:30 p.m. showing of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

After a brief intermission, the 1961 classic film starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard will be shown. Nominated for five Oscars, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” won two of the coveted awards for the original music score by Henry Mancini and for the title song, “Moon River,” with music by Henry Mancini and lyrics by Johnny Mercer.

While enjoying the concert and open-air cinema, viewers may also enjoy a pre-paid boxed dinner from the Brewster Inn by calling 655-9232.

For a reasonable $15 price tag, the dinners will include one of three gourmet sandwich choices, a bag of chips, a homemade cookie, a bottle of water and a bag of popcorn to enjoy while watching the movie.

The proceeds from each dinner sold will be donated back to the Friends of Lorenzo. Dinner orders must be placed by Wednesday, Aug. 15, and boxed meals will be ready for pick up at Lorenzo beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16.

Ice cream, popcorn, bottled water and candy treats will also be available for sale that evening, and The Friends of Lorenzo will also be selling custom lawn blankets as a summer fundraiser. For more information, call Lorenzo at 655-3200.
