Equine, canine supply shop to open in Atwell’s Mill

— Rebecca Coons and Earl Flanders recently announced the launch of their new horse tack and pet supply store, Equine & K-9 Supply. The store will feature a variety of essential horse tack, including saddles, as well as dog, cat, small animal and a selection of reptile supplies.

The official grand opening will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10.

“We both enjoy our horses and our dogs,” said Rebecca Coons, owner of Equine & K-9 Supply “And with the large number of horse and pet owners in the immediate area, ourselves included, we saw a need and felt there was a niche for a new type of convenience tack and pet supply store for people who are looking for something special or varied.”

Equine & K-9 Supply intends to offer a variety of items including, but not limited to, western saddles, head stalls, halters, grooming supplies, buckets and feeders, barn supplies, dog leashes, coats, reptile supplies and other items, including belt buckles, flags and cowboy hats.

The business is also open to accepting consignment tack and show clothes alike.

“With such a nice variety of suppliers I am able to keep prices low, change my inventory often and always have something new in the store not to mention we also have a custom order catalog available as well,” Coons said. “We don’t want to be boring; we want to be different, convenient and affordable.”

Equine & K-9 Supply is conveniently located on the lower level of the Atwell’s Mill, located at 132 Albany St. in Cazenovia. The store does offer carry-out as well as delivery for saddles and other large items.
