Baldwinsville University at Buffalo’s TCIE has awarded certifications to professionals and UB students who have successfully completed training in the continuous improvement methodologies of Lean and Six Sigma.
Scott Frentzel, of Baldwinsville, completed the Six Sigma Black Belt Student Certification Program. The program matches UB students with companies in need of business improvement assistance and engages the student in a single, two-semester Six Sigma Black Belt project. Frentzel earned his Black Belt and graduated from the industrial and systems engineering department with a master’s degree.
Lean is focused on waste elimination and reduction at every level. Certification required passing an exam and completing an improvement project for candidates’ respective organizations using Lean tools.
