Join our group of crafty card makers under the direction of Missy Shipman at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, to construct your own personal greetings. There is a $15 materials cost for the class and registration is required.

August Open Mike

Our minstrels have wandered far and wide this summer, so who knows what they will bring to our long running family friendly entertainment. Join us at 7 p.m. Aug. 15 and discover the enchantment of live entertainment as a spectator or a participant. Signup begins at 6:30 p.m. and if the technology is willing, the show starts at 7 p.m.

Otaku summer

Summer is nearly over. It’s time for the our anime fans to come back to the joys of dim, air conditioned rooms full of colorful characters and fantastic plots with a side of ramen of course. The show begins at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16.

Yu-Gi-Oh

Come trade and play at the last of our Thursday sessions at 6 p.m. Aug. 16. Yu-Gi-Oh will move to Tuesday nights this fall, so keep an eye on the calendar.

Double wine carrier basket

Celebrate the harvest at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, with an appropriate host gift a double wine carrier basket. There is a $30 materials fee for this project; registration is required.

Jobseeker intensive

The kids will be going back to college soon and the job shuffle begins again. Get yourself in fighting trim for the next round of interviews and applications at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, with a session on interviewing skills.

Papercrafting workshop

Spice up your scrapbook or plot a major papercraft project under the supervision of our very own papercraft wizard Missy Shipman at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23. There is a $20 materials fee for this session; registration is required.
