Still at home Friday to face Onondaga, the Lakers could not make a full recovery, taking an 11-8 defeat to the Tigers.
The first half proved crucial, as OCS steadily built a 7-4 lead. Try as it could, the Lakers could not eat fully into that deficit the rest of the way, though Speer led both sides with three goals.
Dougherty scored twice as Dorrance added a goal and two assists. Silfer and Hadley Lucas also got goals, with Wheeler and Franz earning assists. Four different Tigers – Sam Annable, Rachael Akshar, Cori Holbrook and Abby Webster – got two goals apiece, and goalie Sam Ashley thwarted the Lakers with 12 saves.
Now the Lakers are 3-3 going into back-to-back road games at Tully and Jordan-Elbridge before a Friday visit from Manlius-Pebble Hill.
