Lysander Parks and Recreation prepares for two programs

— Pitch, Hit and Run Skills Competition

Registration will be accepted Saturday, April 28, for Lysander’s Pitch, Hit and Run Skills Competition, a fun, free baseball activity sponsored by Aquafina, the Town of Lysander Parks & Recreation Department and the Baldwinsville Little League. The competition will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Diane Reeves Memorial Park on Downer Street. It is open to youth age 7 to 14 (cutoff July 17, 2012). Parents must sign permission slip in order for the child to be able to participate. Children winning in their age group will be eligible to advance on to regional competitions.

Lysander Day Camp

Lysander Day Camp runs for six individual weeks and offers a variety of activities including a weekly field trip for children who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade. Activities include crafts, sports, music and more. Regular day camp is held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and extended camp hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays.
