CRIS to hold annual meeting

— Community Resources for Independent Seniors (CRIS), a 501(c)3 organization aimed at addressing the needs of seniors in the Cazenovia, Nelson and Fenner areas, will hold its second annual meeting at 4 p.m. on May 14 at 101 Nelson Street (next to McDonald’s on Route 20) in Cazenovia.

Election of officers and new board members will take place, as well as a review of the year’s activities and future plans.

All interested residents are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.

After CRIS was formed in September 2009, a free transportation program, CRIS-CAT, was developed. To date, the program has provided more than 550 free rides by 50 volunteer drivers in the community.

In mileage terms, drivers and passengers traveled more than 18, 250 miles.

To request a ride or to volunteer, please call CRIS-CAT at 655-0612.
