LETTERS: Mother of three to run for seat on Caz board of education

I believe that our current administrators are resourceful, they can make this work if the community strongly encourages them to. This is your chance. Make phone calls and write letters, but do it fast because the board is voting soon.

What is an absolute shame is the option to reduce our agricultural program and reduce its teacher to a part-time position.

This, in fact, will harm the program, possibly destroying it — all in an effort to save $25,000 to $35,000.

I’d like the board to consider not hiring a new full-time administrator and use the saved funding to keep the agriculture programming intact. This program is growing and getting stronger and the possibilities are limitless for the students attending the agriculture program.

Cazenovia is an agricultural community and we need this program!

Cazenovia is also known for its academic excellence, and we should never consider cutting academic programs until every other area is reduced to bare bones!

I’m asking everyone to get more involved in the school board meetings, and please consider voting me onto the school board in May.

Our students need us.
