The school will now accept registrations for the Pre-K class, a unique class for children who will turn 5 in the late summer or fall, but are not yet ready for kindergarten. Children with December birthdays who miss the cut-off date for kindergarten are also welcome in this class. The Pre-K class is small, with 16 children, a teacher and a teacher assistant. The teachers are able to spend quality time with the children, assessing each child and learning his or her individual learning style and developmental level. The teachers form a learning plan for each child, which is designed to help them reach the next level in all areas of development. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Preschool follows the NYS Prekindergarten Learning Standards and the guidelines of the National Asssociation for the Education of Young Children.
