From the blotter: Man charged in Van Buren arson

— Karl Coe, Jr., of Clay, was charged with arson for a town of Van Buren house fire.

Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department conducted an investigation regarding a fire that occurred on Sept. 23, 2011, at 204 Baker Blvd., which left 79-year-old Kay Oldenburg homeless. Sheriff’s detectives arrested Coe last week charging him with second- and fourth-degree arson and first-degree reckless endangerment, all felonies.

Coe was arraigned in the Town of Van Buren Court and remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center; bail was set at $75,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
