— The Cazenovia Area Community Development Association Board of Directors recently announced it regretfully accepted resignation of Executive Director Barbara Henderson, effective April 13, 2012.

Henderson has accepted a position as vice president of programs and community initiatives within the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida counties.

“As CACDA’s executive director for our first seven years, Barbara has helped build the organization through collaborative accomplishments of great benefit to our community,” said Betsy Powers, CACDA vice-president and founding member. “We are immensely grateful for her consistent efforts, which reflect her passion for our mission as well as her unwavering integrity.”

Lauren Lines, who worked as CACDA’s professional staff associate for the past four years, has been hired as the interim executive director.

Lines has served as acting executive director for Central New York Resource Conservation and Development, as well as program manager for the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation.

A special event will be held at 7 p.m. on April 18, at Cazenovia College Gatehouse to give community members an opportunity to meet Lines and congratulate Henderson. All are welcome.

To contact Lauren, call 655-7651 or e-mail lines@cacda.net after April 13.
