The Skaneateles Area Arts Council is pleased to announce its second grants initiative of 2011, for interested individuals or groups that live or present performing, visual or arts-related events in the Skaneateles area.
The deadline for applicants for fall funding is Oct. 30, 2011.
“The Skaneateles Area Arts Council is delighted to provide this important community support once again,” said Barbara Delmonico, committee chair and SKARTS board member. “Since 2006, we have been able to provide over $40,000 in grants and several free concerts to the community. Once again, we hope to help a number of artists, musicians, students, performing arts groups and community organizations through this fall funding initiative. We realize that throughout the calendar year different funding needs arise; therefore we felt it would be helpful to provide two opportunities for groups and individuals to apply for funding.”
The spring 2011 SKARTS funding initiative resulted in nine grants issued to the following organizations and artists: Auburn Public Theater, Becky Flanagan, Khoros Performing Arts Company for Kids, the Jane Austen Singing School for Young Ladies, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce, Beth Battle/Skaneateles Historical Society, Skaneateles Figure Skating Club, and Symphony Syracuse
