Brendan Rose's guardian of the creekwalk, above, shown mid-construction in mid-summer. Check out the completed sculpture downtown in Armory Square, off West Fayette Street. Photo by Ami Olson.
SYRACUSE Shown here mid-construction, the serpentine structure in Armory Square was recently completed but still needs a name!
The Syracuse Public Artist in Residence program is seeking online submissions from the public to complete the project by bestowing fitting moniker. The winner will be announced Oct. 10, but the contest closes Oct. 2, so head over to installsyracuse.org/naming to submit your entry.
The winner receives a $50 gift card to Pastabilities, and, obviously, unlimited trips to the creekwalk to introduce/show off the creature to out-of-towners.
