Syracuse Nets 5th grade girls place 6th at nationals

The Syracuse Nets AAU 5th Grade Girls Team recently announced that the team has finished 6th in the nation after a National Tournament competition with the finals held during July in Hampton, Va. The Syracuse Nets AAU 5th Grade Girls Team recently finished 6th in the nation after a National Tournament competition with the finals held during July in Hampton, Virgina.

The Syracuse Nets boast 11 locally based 4th and 5th grade girls who practice and play under the tutelage of their coaches, John Cargian of Jamesville, Sam Vinci, Jeff Hibbard and Michael Vaughan.

"The sixth place division II finish in the Nationals represents the highest ranking in the history of the girls division of the Syracuse Nets. The team, its members and the community share in that accomplishment," said one representative of the team. "And we thank our community for its support."
