Cazenovia Community gathers to remember 9/11

— A candlelight vigil was held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 11, in Cazenovia’s Memorial Park. The 10-year anniversary of the devastating terrorist attacks in New York City.

The vigil was coordinated by members of Project Café, and served to honor victims of the fateful day in 2001.

At 7:30 p.m., following the ceremony, was a special Cazenovia Forum event in the Presbyterian Church Meeting House.

Former CBS Evening News producer, Thomas Flynn, read excerpts from his acclaimed book -length poem “Bikeman.”

Flynn was in NYC on Sept. 11, 2001, and rode his bike through Ground Zero after the attacks had taken place. The epic poem was a personal account of his experience and observations during the fateful day.
