— The Friends of John Colligan are inviting the Cazenovia and surrounding communities to come to an open house to help celebrate John’s retirement from Colligan and Sons Service Station, a familiar automoblie company and longtime fixture at 117 Albany St.

He has been president of this family-owned business since it started in 1957. This open house party has been scheduled to take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 at The Cazenovia American Legion on Chenango Street in Cazenovia.

Colligan is an outstanding member of the local business community which includes area business associations and the Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce. John, his wife Mary Durfee Colligan are life long residents of Cazenovia.

He is a proud U.S. Navy Veteran having served two tours in Vietnam. Colligan also served three terms as Commander of the Cazenovia American Legion Post 88.

His motto has always been: “Here I am, how can I help?”

Come and give John your best wishes, spend some time with your friends and neighbors and enjoy some special refreshments.
