Change needed to get water in Lysander

— If you are one of the 350 residences and businesses involved in the quest for public water in the town of Lysander for the past 11 years, you may want to consider casting your vote this November for a change in leadership. Many townships have successfully provided good, clean drinking water for their residents; the latest in Sandy Pond, which serves a majority of seasonal camps. We continue to struggle with water issues, E. coli contamination being one of them, and wonder why our Town Supervisor Barry Bullis isn’t getting the job done.

We met with John Salisbury, Andy Reeves and Melinda Shimer last month. They took the time to listen to our problem and, in turn, offered many potential solutions. We feel they have the knowledge, positive attitude and desire to help us obtain water, thus improving our quality of life. If voted in, we have no doubt they will listen and discuss problems, return phone calls and emails, and make sure information is made available to residents; effecting a much needed change.

John Salisbury has our votes for Lysander Town Supervisor on Nov. 8. Andy Reeves and Melinda Shimer have our votes for town councilors.

Marty Ochsner and Janine Werchinski-Yates are residents of Lysander.
