— Tony Thompson, a 2003 graduate of Baker High School, has been at University Hospital for more than a month after experiencing a brain hemorrhage, which has resulted in mounting medical bills.

Thompson, a student at Mohawk Valley Community College, is the son of Mike and Patti Thompson of Baldwinsville. Patti currently works in the Baldwinsville Central School District at Reynolds Elementary School.

A benefit will be held for Thompson from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Fireside Inn in Baldwinsville to help offset the cost of his medical bills.

The Lost Marbles and What The Phunk will provide entertainment during the event, which will also feature raffles of items donated by local merchants as well as an auction of Tony’s art and the art of other local artists. Admission is $10; advance sale tickets may be purchased by calling 622-2198.

If you are unable to attend and would like to make a donation, checks may be made payable to Tony Thompson at 5284 Villa Ridge Court, Baldwinsville, NY 13027, where his parents reside.
