Keilen supports Clarke’s campaign for town supervisor

Letter to the editor

— To the editor:

I would like to thank Tom Clarke for becoming a candidate for Town of Cazenovia Supervisor. In our prior election, a few years ago, our current town supervisor ran unopposed. Uncontested elections are not good for our community. We need choice and may the better candidate win. Without this choice, someone can just walk into the position for better or for worse. This could be very risky.

I have known Tom for many years and I can certify his honesty and devotion to serving our community. By his past Madison County work experience and his duties as former mayor of the Village of Cazenovia, he has all the credentials needed to serve as an effective and efficient Town Supervisor for Cazenovia.

Tom Clarke, as a native son of Cazenovia, understands the people and their vision for “Our Town.” He is a true believer that Cazenovia Lake is a vital asset to our community and that it belongs to every tax payer. He has the courage to evaluate those budget expense items that we no longer can sustain and to bring our financial position into surplus at each fiscal opportunity. I want Tom to be the one who safeguards our resources of money, manpower, machines, materials and methods.

We now have a choice. Vote for Tom Clarke, he is anxious to do the right thing for all of us.

Alexander Keilen
