Camillus To the editor:
I am writing to urge Town of Cazenovia voters to support Tom Clarke for Town Supervisor.
A life-long Cazenovian, Tom has broad experience in addressing community issues and planning. He is familiar with the workings of our local governments and the importance of cooperation between town, village and county. Having served on the village Board of Trustees as mayor, Tom brought his quiet but visionary persona to village governance. His accomplishments have been many and his style of leadership exemplary; always approachable and always willing to listen to any concern that a citizen wanted to discuss. He not only listens but also is willing to talk with constituents about issues, pro and con. This makes him the consummate politician, in the positive sense, in that he remains keenly aware of his constituents, the pulse of the community and how to best serve the community. With Tom the community’s best interests have always come first.
To that end, Tom has always been a visionary looking towards the future, what is best for the community and what new initiatives are worth looking into. Fiscally conservative and having run the village government as well as a community agency, he understands the ins and outs of managing an already strained municipal budget. Tom is well poised to lead town government and do it well. With your vote on November 8 let Tom Clarke again serve the Cazenovia community. He will serve with dignity, fairness, consistency and integrity.
In like manner, both Liz Moran and incumbent Bill Zupan have worked hard to bring good government and visionary planning to Town government.
I also urge voters to retain Bill Zupan as town councilor and to return Liz Moran to the Town Board as councilor on Nov. 8.
All three deserve our support on Nov. 8.
