LOJO Technology has scheduled a free and easily accessible Electronic Waste Collection Day from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, in the parking lot at Buyea’s True Value on Albany Street, in Cazenovia.
Residents with any unwanted electronic waste, such as televisions, radios, VCR players, personal gaming devices, cell phones, cash registers, typewriters, PDAs, digital cameras, telephones, stereo equipment and computer equipment occupying corners of their attics, garages or cellars are encouraged to take advantage of this free e-waste collection program.
The e-waste Collection Day is being sponsored by LOJO Technology, a division of Alternatives Industry and Madison Cortland ARC, and the Madison County Department of Solid Waste and Sanitation.
Since new state requirements for e-waste recycling and disposal went into effect April 1, a collection site for all Madison County e-waste and Central New York opened at LOJO Technology in the City of Oneida, at 327 Farrier Ave.
Hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on the first Saturday of each month.
